About the CLP-735
Throughout Yamaha’s CLP-700 Series, Yamaha has strived to bring the most responsive and versatile features together creating an instrument that sets the contemporary standard for pianos.
The CLP-735 features a unique keyboard, with synthetic ebony and ivory keys, to prevent slipping even during extended play. The GrandTouch-S feature helps to capture the feel and responsive play of a grand piano. It also features an escapement mechanism, which recreates the light clicking sensations of the hammer in a grand piano as it moves away from the string to not impede the strings’ vibration. This allows the player to get an even more genuine feel and response from this instrument.
Yamaha has also introduced Grand Expression Modelling in the CLP-700 series, which takes the player’s touch to a more impactful translation by capturing more depth to the input and creating a highly expressive response through the tones of the CLP-700 series. This creates an instrument that can help any pianist learn more techniques and a new level of expressiveness through sound.
Voices and Features
Yamaha’s concert grand piano the CFX has been faithfully reproduced through carefully recording the full tonal range of each of the 88 keys. Yamaha has also recorded to equal quality the Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand piano, bringing the Viennese piano’s colourful and natural warm tones to your own home instrument.
Both high quality instruments were recorded with binaural sampling, continuing the experience even when wearing headphones. This method was chosen to make the player feel as if they are sitting in front of a grand piano to the point that it no longer feels like wearing headphones at all.
To enable players to more closely understand the compositions of the likes of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin, the CLP-735 is equipped with the voices of the fortepiano, the predecessor of the modern piano. Two voices most beloved by Mozart and Chopin have been chosen to communicate the historical way their songs originally were played.
CLP-735 has 20 different rhythm patterns that are suited for many types of music to aid and make practice more fun. Alongside this is a selection of widely accepted exercises from Hanon, Bayer, Czerny and Burgmüller which you can practise along with hands separately or even simply listen to and enjoy.

Design and Colour
This Clavinova has been designed to mimic the feel of sitting at a grand piano as Yamaha has taken into consideration those players who practise on Clavinova and perform on grand pianos.
It is available in Black and Dark Rosewood.
